INSTRUCTIONS FOR PURCHASE:

1. Download the zip file named download.zip and save it in a local directory on your hard drive.  When viewed from the command prompt (a command prompt is what you get on Windows when you select Start/Run and enter cmd), the size of the file should be exactly 22,242,298 bytes.  If it is not that size, your downloaded file is corrupt and you should download it again.

2. Click on one of the buttons below to make your payment (Texas residents click the small button, others click the large button). If either of these buttons returns an error message, clear your cache, force a reload of this page, or both. If you still get an error message please notify me.

In case the above buttons don't seem to work for you, here is an alternative way to purchase through PayPal. If you are already a member of PayPal, just log in and send the payment to the email address given below. If you are not already a member of PayPal, click here, join PayPal, and send your payment to:

Baldwin@DickBaldwin.com

(The PayPal system doesn't like any embellishment on the email address, so just enter it plain as shown above.) Don't forget to add the sales tax if you are a resident of Texas.

3. IMPORTANT! After you make your payment, send an email message to me by clicking on the following link, Email, telling me that you have made the payment.  Include the keywords Java Tutorial Password in the Subject line of your message to cause your message to get past my spam blocking software.

4. After you make your payment via PayPal, I will receive an email message from PayPal confirming that you have made your payment. As soon as I receive that email message, I will send the password, via email, that you will need to extract the tutorial lessons from the zip file.

MORE DETAILS

A zip file containing the Java, JavaScript, Python, XML, C#, Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Technology and Web Application tutorials is available for downloading.

Printer Friendly: The contents of this zip file are very convenient for offline viewing and printing. Advertisements have been removed. This makes the tutorial files more suitable for printing, and saves paper, toner, and ink.

No Internet Connection is Required: Once you have made the purchase, you can store the contents of this zip file on your laptop computer and study them without the requirement to be connected to the Internet.  For example, this makes it possible for frequent flyers to study the tutorials while in airports and on airplanes.

Unzipping: Once you have downloaded the zip file, you will need to unzip it using a decompression utility like WinZIP. Once the file is completely unzipped, you will have a directory containing approximately 1860 files including HTML files and image files. Use your favorite browser to view and print the files.

The directory will also contain a file named Index.html and a file named ReadMe.htm. This Index file contains links to all of the tutorial lessons. It is not password protected. You can view to it determine exactly which tutorial lessons are contained in the password-protected portion of the zip file. (You can also use it to easily access the individual tutorial lessons once you have extracted them from the zip file.)  The ReadMe file contains general information.

Indexing and Searching:  I recommend that you download Google Desktop and use it to index and search the tutorial lessons on your desktop.

Price: If you value your personal time (spent waiting for online lessons to be delivered by your ISP), pay for your Internet connection time by the minute, prefer not to see advertisements in printed versions of the tutorials, or prefer to study the tutorial lessons offline, you will find this material to be well worth the price of $14.95. (Texas residents add $1.23 (8.25%) for Texas and Austin sales tax).

To begin enjoying the material simply download the file (about 21.7 Mbytes).

To obtain the password, click on one of the PayPal buttons shown above to make your payment (Texas residents click the small button, others click the large button). Then follow the instructions given at the beginning of this page.

Notice to my students: If you are enrolled in one of my college courses, the tutorials are available to you free of charge.  Download the zip file but do not make the purchase.  Notify me when you have downloaded the zip file and I will provide the password free of charge.

Notice to everyone: All sales are final. The maximum liability assumed by Richard Baldwin for any and all issues related to the purchase is limited to providing 3.5-inch diskettes via postal mail containing the tutorial material.
